Eligibility for Admission

Candidates who have passed the Plus two/Higher Secondary/Pre degree Examination from the Universities in Kerala with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as Optional subjects or any other examination recognised by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission, to all the courses under clause I provided that they have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in Optional subjects. Relaxation of 10% marks will be allowed to candidates of SC/ST and 5% marks to candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Communities referred to in G.O. (P) 208/6/Edn.dated 2-5-1966 and subsequent amendments provided that their annual family income is up to Rs 2,50,000. 


Selection



Admission to all seats except in the case of seats reserved for nominees of Government of Pondicherry, Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Administration shall be made on merit assessed on the basis of total marks secured by the candidate in Part - II of Optional Subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) or its equivalent examination calculated on a maximum of 300 marks.  Rank list will be prepared in each category according to the marks secured by the candidate.  In case there is a tie in the total aggregate of marks in the optional subjects, the candidate with higher marks for English at the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) will be ranked higher.  In case there is still a tie, the candidate with higher total aggregate marks in the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) will be ranked higher.  Those candidates coming within the total number of seats excluding/except 50% management seats in self financing institutions shall be called for a personal appearance at the Directorate of Medical Education.

Post Graduate Diploma in Child Development (PGDCCD)
Course Offered  : 

Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Child Development (DCCD) Course.As per the Government Order (MS) 76/94/H&FWD dated TVM 30-03-1994, a new course named Diploma in Clinical Child Development (DCCD) under the Director of Medical Education was started at the Child Development Centre to create a cadre of community trainers in Clinical Child Development for Prevention of Childhood Disability Programme.


Eligibility for Admission

Candidates who have passed BSc Home Science Examination of the Universities of Kerala or equivalent Degree from other Universities, recognized by the Universities of Kerala are eligible for admission, provided that they have secured an aggregate of not less than 50% marks.  Relaxation of 10% marks will be allowed to candidates of SC/ST.


Duration of the course

Duration of the course will be two years.  The Course of training will be conducted at Child Development Centre, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram.

ELIGIBILITY
 

Academic:    Candidates should have passed BSc (MLT) / BSc (Physics) / BSc (Chemistry) / BSc (Zoology) / BSc (Nursing) from the University of Kerala or equivalent degree from other Universities, recognized by the University of Kerala.  The applicant should have not less than 55% marks in the examination or equivalent recognized degree. 

DURATION OF THE COURSE



It is a two-year course that comprises of didactic course and training in various aspects of dialysis for a period of one year.  On successful completion of the examination, the candidate will undergo one-year training in the same institution and not allowed transfer to another institution during the period of internship. The diploma will be awarded on successful completion of internship.

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORK [PGDPSW] 


ELIGIBILITY      

Candidates who have passed M.S.W. Degree from the University of Kerala or equivalent degree from other Universities, recognised by the University of Kerala with not less than 55% of aggregate marks in that examination. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidate need to pass the exam and relaxation of 5% marks to candidate belonging to socially and educationally backward community who come under the purview of the GOP208/66/Edn.dated 02/05/1966 and subsequent orders/amendments and also subject the annual family income of such applicants being below rupees 1.5 Lakhs rupees.  

Only Indian citizens of Kerala origin are eligible for admission to the course.  Candidates, in order to prove that they are Indian citizens of Kerala origin, have to produce certificates from the Village Officer / Tahsildar to show that he/she or his/her parents (mother/father) has been a resident of the T.C/Malabar areas  now situated in Kerala State, for three years within a continuous period of five years immediately preceding 1-11-1956 or has owned or possessed landed property or house in the T.C/ Malabar areas, now situated in Kerala State prior to 1-11-1956 or a certificate regarding the region of education from the Head of the Educational Institution where the candidates last studied.

Eligibility for admission. – 

The candidates who have passed the B.Pharm Degree of any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other Universities recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto from an institution recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, with a minimum of 50% marks for all the four years of B. Pharm Examination taken together, will be eligible for admission.  For Lecturer in pharmacy who seeks admission against the reserved quota, the minimum marks will be 50% except in the case of Pharmacy Practice for which minimum 55% is required.  Candidates who have passed their B.Pharm Course from Universities outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their qualifying examination is recognised by the Universities of Kerala on the date of counselling by the Director of Medical Education.

In addition to the above, candidates applying for the sponsored seats in Pharmacy   Practice and Pharmaceutical Chemistry should possess a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm/company/industry/educational and research institution /any Government departments or Government autonomous organisation in any field of pharmacy after obtaining the minimum educational qualification for admission.  In the absence of candidates with 2 years experience candidates with less experience will be considered. 

Only Indian Citizens of Kerala origin are eligible for admission to the course.  They have to provide the certificate along with the application form. For Sponsored seat all Indian citizens are eligible.

Duration The course of study including the Thesis work shall extend over a period of  2 years.
